21% Rise in Visitors Since 2024 Recorded in Singapore
Singapore has welcomed 16.5 million international travellers since 2024, marking a 21% surge from the previous year. This is the highest increase in arrivals since the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) anticipates this positive trend to persist, with estimates of 17 to 18.5 million inbound tourists in 2025, moving closer to the pre-pandemic peak of 19.1 million in 2019.
Tourism Revenue to Reach Upper End
Singapore expects that the influx of visitors will contribute to the upper range of earnings. The STB projects approximately S$27.5 billion to S$29 billion (US$20.3 billion to US$21.4 billion). If this materialises, it will establish a fresh record, surpassing the S$27.7 billion achieved in 2019.
The leading travellers came from nations such as Mainland China, Indonesia, and India. China, Indonesia, and Australia accounted for the highest expenditure. Changi Airport has also reported a strong rebound, with global seat capacity reaching over 41 million—98% of its pre-pandemic levels.
