Singapore continues to learn from best practices to top global public administration index
Singapore was ranked first globally in the public administration index, according to the Blavatnik Index of Public Administration.
The Blavatnik Index of Public Administration framework measurement measures broad areas of public administration such as national delivery, public policy, people and processes, and strategy and leadership. The Index offers a common framework to evaluate the performance of civil services and public administrations in 120 countries and is an improved version of the Index of Civil Service Effectiveness (InCISE).
Following Singapore, Norway is in second place, with Canada and Denmark sharing third. Finland is ranked fifth. Additionally, Singapore achieved the top spot for national delivery and public policy. Particularly, Singapore excelled in border services, tax administration, and innovation strategies and practices.
As for the other two domains, Singapore ranked fourth in the People and Processes domain, with Canada and Denmark, while it shared fifth place in the Strategy and Leadership domain with the United States.
