Dear Valued Customers,
$48 Billion Resilience Budget for Singapore Economy
The $48 Billion Resilience Budget is set to help both businesses and workers in Singapore weather the tumultuous impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
With current global markets in financial uncertainty, Singapore’s primary focus is to help businesses and workers and minimize the impact of the severe economic disruptions that have come about because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Singapore is going through unprecedented times, and this calls for extraordinary measures.
The World’s Freest Economy in 2020
Singapore’s economic fundamentals remain strong. Singapore has been ranked the World’s Freest Economy by the 2020 Index of Economic Freedom. The index is published by the Heritage Foundation and defines “freedom” as “the fundamental right of every human to control their own labour and property”.
Adopting the SGSecure@Workplaces Programme
The COVID-19 pandemic drives home the message of ensuring a safe working environment for all. There is no better time for 3E Accounting to adopt the SGSecure@Workplaces Programme. The programme will strengthen the vigilance and the resilience of workplaces and help businesses return to normalcy in as quick a timeframe as possible following an emergency or incident. At 3E Accounting, our priority has always been to ensure the safety and security of our employees, and continuity of business operations. This programme helps us achieve that vision.
Digital Advisor
As an open economy, Singapore is best poised to tap into the global digital economy. In ACCA’s report, Future Ready: Accountancy Careers in the 2020s, released in January 2020, it points out that the twin fields of accounting and finance are becoming ever more relevant in the digital age. That is why I want to help SMEs to adopt technology to digitally transform their businesses and take full advantage of Singapore’s Smart Nation initiatives and projects as Digital Advisor.
3E C.A.R.E.S. for International Women’s Day
This March, 3E Accounting launched something special. We started Our Courageous and Responsible Entrepreneurship Support (3E C.A.R.E.S.) programme in conjunction with International Women’s Day 2020. This is a cause dear to our hearts, to help the wonderful and courageous women in our lives. As part of 3E C.A.R.E.S programme, 3E Accounting will be volunteering our professional expertise as a corporate service provider and passion as a unionised Singapore SME to help stay-at-home mums and caregivers. We believe every woman should be given the opportunity to achieve her aspirations and be financially independent through sustainable and profitable microbusiness and we hope to create such a vibrant ecosystem within our community.
Business Continuity Planning to Combat COVID-19
With the escalating global health situation over COVID-19, 3E Accounting has scaled up our Business Continuity Planning to protect our employees and ensure uninterrupted business operations. To support our clients and SMEs, 3E Accounting is sharing our Business Continuity Policy templates and resources online for all to freely use.
Together we can overcome COVID-19. Stay well and stay healthy!
